Day 32: Santorini - Barcelona. Trip summary: Best photos of Greece

Today is the last day of the trip to Greece in 32 days and at this time, practically 2 in the morning since our flight leaves at 4, we are already in the small airport of Santorini.
He has had to return the rental car that has accompanied us for practically more than a month and now, already sitting in one of the few seats in the departures terminal, we have to take stock of this trip, through the best photos of Greece, which has been, without a doubt, one of the most incredible trips we have ever made.

Athens
Greece's gateway for free, Athens surprised us as soon as we fell in love. We had read from her that you loved her or hated her, we, without a doubt, after visiting the Acropolis and knowing the tourist places of Athens, we can only think of going back and doing it for longer.

Parthenon in the Acropolis of Athens

Corinth Canal
Renting a car in Greece allowed us to make a route through the continental zone, which although less known perhaps than the islands, is one of the best decisions we have been able to get to know this incredible country.
The first stop took us to the Corinth Canal, an incredible engineering work, which eventually became one of the most curious that we saw on the trip, in addition to the place that took us to Antigua Corinth, the first archaeological site we visited on the trip.

Mycenae
Declared a World Heritage Site, Mycenae is one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in Greece, as well as being one of the most relevant places in the country, where we began to delve into the history of one of the most incredible countries we have ever known. .

Epidaurus Theater
Visiting the Epidaurus Theater is synonymous with surprise. Although you have seen many photos and intuit how it will be, nothing is comparable to the feeling of being in the highest part, turning around and seeing with your own eyes, one of the most incredible places in the world.

Epidaurus Theater

Olympia
Another of the best photos of Greece is undoubtedly that of Olympia, one of the most tourist places in the country. Although you have read that most places to see in Olympia you have to imagine them, since there are not many that are restored, do not forget to get here.
We are sure that Olympia will amaze and surprise you in equal parts.

Olympia Stadium

Galaxidi and Osios Loukas Monastery
Visiting the Osios Loukas Monastery was the perfect excuse to spend a night in Galaxidi, a small fishing town on the coast of Greece, which surprised us by its incredible appeal and the charm of the most authentic tradition.
Although it is not one of the most tourist places in Greece, visiting Galaxidi is one of the best tips for traveling to Greece that we can give you.

Hosios Loukas Monastery

Delphi
Visiting the Oracle of Delphi in Greece is to fulfill a dream.
For us this was one of the objectives of the trip and we can say that it did not disappoint us. It is worth every minute of the trip to get here, but once you are in front of the Oracle of Delphi, it is when you begin to understand and gather the pieces of everything you have seen before.

Meteora monasteries
Impossible to describe in words what it means to visit the Meteora Monasteries in Greece.
This is the place where the hand of man and nature come together in a communion so perfect, that at times, it seems unreal.

Meteora monasteries

Although we know that it is the furthest tourist point of Athens that is usually included in the routes, whenever you can, do not stop coming here. We assure you that dedicating a couple of days to all the places to see in Meteora, will be some of the most unforgettable moments of the trip, in addition to being some of the best photos of Greece.

Mykonos
Going from Athens to Mykonos was for us the entrance to the Greek Islands.
We cannot deny that we arrived with a little suspicion and we had heard about everything about this island, in which it seems that the party and the bustle were going to be the main protagonists.
We were wrong. Upon arrival, the island gave us incredible places to see in Mykonos and reminded us that it is only necessary to get up early and leave the most tourist areas to know the most authentic places.
Without a doubt, after these days, Mykonos became for us one of the best Greek Islands.

Naxos
Another of the best photos of Greece He arrived with the ferry from Mykonos to Naxos, which gave us some of the most unforgettable days of the trip.
Naxos is synonymous with tradition and charm. Not only for its beaches and its inland villages, but also for the historic center of Hora, one of the most beautiful we have ever known and the amount of things to see and do in Naxos, despite having one small island.
Without a doubt, including Naxos in the itinerary of this trip was a great success!

Paros
The next stop of the trip was the ferry from Naxos to Paros, another of the best photos of Greece and the perfect complement to the rest of the islands.
With towns like Naoussa or Prodromos, who fell in love with us upon arrival, all the places to see in Paros became unforgettable moments of the trip.

Santorini
What to say about Santorini, which has not already been said. Little, without a doubt. The only thing we can add, after our experience is that you do not hesitate to take a ferry to Santorini, no matter how much you have read that it is one of the most tourist and massive islands of Greece.
As in Mykonos, you only need to leave the busiest places and the busiest hours, to discover that all the things to see in Santorini deserve a chance.
For us, after 4 days, it has become one of the most photogenic places in the world and without a doubt, one of the essential places to see in Greece.
