Day 7: FLORENCE - PISA - GIRONA

Today we wake up at 7 in the morning, after a night in which we have rested as children, although the hotel was not everything we could expect. In a few hours we will take a train from Florence to Pisa to catch the flight from Pisa to Girona, which will take us home, or so we hope, because with the last minute cancellation, we cannot confirm anything yet.
Today we have the idea of returning to tour the most emblematic places of Florence, hoping to find less people to be able to enjoy them with more tranquility.
And of course, enjoy the gastronomy this last day we spent in Italy.

We have breakfast at the Hotel Basilea, by the way in the face of a very unfortunate lack of hygiene and before 8 am we are already in the streets of Florence ready to expand our collection of photographs of the city.

Once here we begin to see that the weather begins to cloud and it seems that it threatens a storm, but still, we continue with our firm conviction to get ahead of the tourist groups and continue touring the city with the solitude that this hour of the morning.

When we have already traveled all the points we had in our mental planning, we approached the Santa María Novella Station to check the schedules of train from Florence to Pisa, which is the one that will take us so that we can take our flight from Pisa to Girona.
Being next to the station we cannot miss the opportunity to approach the well-known Santa María Novella, one of the most beautiful churches in the city.

When it is almost 12 noon, we stop for coffee and relax, which is also necessary to enjoy a well-deserved rest after the early morning we have hit.
We take these moments to start planning future trips and that is that whenever we are on the last day of any of our trips, we are almost obliged to start dreaming about another, so it seems that the farewell is more bearable.
After a good while jumping from one destination to another in our mind, we decided that it is time to continue with our last day in Florence, that in no time we are on time to take the flight from Pisa to Girona And come home
