Our hotel in Carcassonne was an apartment in the center of the city, located less than 5 minutes from La Cité.
The apartment has all the comforts, including a small living room and kitchen, apart from the double bedroom and the bathroom. All rooms are very spacious and very clean, so we highly recommend it for such a getaway.
All the staff of the establishment is very nice and helped us with all the doubts we had about the visits we wanted to do in the area.
They have private paid parking, something highly recommended if you make this trip with your own car or with a rental car and you want to leave the vehicle in a covered area.
Anyway, on the same street, there is usually free parking, which is where we leave it.
The area is very quiet, so there should be no problem with leaving the vehicle on the street.
They have Wi-Fi throughout the establishment, free and with a speed more than acceptable.
We recommend this accommodation because without being precisely in the "heart" of the city, it escapes the crowds and allows you to be only 5 minutes from the most central area, also enjoying the tranquility and exceptional views.
We had hired a studio through their website and due to lack of availability, they gave us an apartment at the same price.
In the studio we have a small room where you can rest and a small kitchen, which is perfect especially if you are going to be a few days and want to have breakfast or dinner in the apartment and thus save a few euros.
These kinds of details are appreciated and say a lot about the establishment.
