The Mediterranean is our favorite sea. Well because it is the sea that saw us grow or because it is the most familiar to us, it is a fact: we love the Mediterranean and its cities.

But What are the most beautiful cities in the Mediterranean?
Here is our list:

Of course, after spending 6 years in the city, we cannot not include it in this list. Barcelona is bona (and not only if the bag sounds!)

-VENICE-

One of the most romantic and unique cities in the world: Venice we love, walking between its streets and crossing its canals is something that must be done yes or yes (at least) once in a lifetime.

We do not know Marseille personally (buuu) but we have read a lot about it and imagine it as a spectacular city. Sooner rather than later we have to meet live!

How to leave out of this list Athens, the capital of Greece and one of the most important and spectacular cities of the ancient world?

The star of Croatia: beautiful and nostalgic, this walled city is going to be one of the stages of our trip through the Balkans (we already tell you that we want to do one for the Balkans, right? Well, that!)

Vale is not a city, but the island of Santorini is one of the places we most want in the world: white houses, blue roofs, Greek food and ... the Mediterranean front !. Do you have a better plan?

There are few cities richer in culture and traditions than Istanbul: cradle of the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires, the largest city in Turkey falls in love at first sight.

Elegant, baroque, ancient: a visit to the capital of Malta is the best way to complete a trip through the Mediterranean.

The most modern city in Israel is much more than partying and skyscrapers: culture and art are not lacking and the Mediterranean in the background gives it a magical touch.

Getting lost in your medina between fabrics, spices and smiling faces (and not) is a unique experience.

Obviously there are many more: Valencia, Palma, Genova, Split, Antalya, Alexandria, Tripoli, Algers, Palermo, Alghero, Ajaccio, Ibiza ... puff if the Mediterranean is the most!

One of the best ways to discover the Mediterranean is to cross it on a cruise. An unforgettable memory for an unforgettable sea ... we never travel by boat (well if we take the trip to Halong Bay, backwater or the 40h traversia in the Philippines ... but it is not the same, and we would not mind living this experience, who knows maybe after interrail we go back to Spain on a cruise, it would be a hoot!)
