Curiosity: It is a typical dish of the Siberian region, which gradually expanded throughout Mother Russia ... But its origin is China! They say that the pelmeni are the distant cousins ​​of the Chinese dumplings.

It won't take you long to meet someone at the table with a soup of a bright pink: is the borsch soup. The color is due to its main ingredient: the beet, food that the Russians love. They sell them in gourmet stores in more or less large pots (sold by weight), in addition to restaurants of a certain category. Curiosity: once the caviar was something very popular, it cost a little and people often ate it. Today some 100 grams they are worth 5,000 rubles (€ 70) the cheapest, to 20,000 rubles (€ 280) the good good. If you finally decide to order it in a restaurant, it will be served in a glass bowl, supported on ice. It is essential that the caviar is very cold!

advice: If you want to save a pasture, buy the red caviar in the supermarket and eat it at home, with a buttered toast (infinitely cheaper than in restaurants).
